Every five years, the Johnson City Central School District performs a building condition survey that determines actions needed to repair, replace or create space. The purpose of the survey is to ensure that the communityā€™s investment in their schools keeps safety and function as top priorities. When deficiencies are identified, the board of education, along with administration, must create a plan to address any identified areas.
While facility maintenance is an everyday occurrence in our district, the board has pinpointed areas that need to be addressed at the high school. These issues are focused on program changes, building systems, and safety and security.
On August 27, the Johnson City Central School District will ask community members to vote on a $35 million dollar capital project that will see
no tax levy increase for the taxpayer.
Stay tuned to this webpage as we continue to provide more details about this proposed project. If you have any questions about our capital project, please email
