Students have been enjoying the many enrichment opportunities available at JC School this summer. One recent camp was Outdoor Adventures with elementary school teachers Laura Whitney & Mary Ellen Gilroy. Students were engaged in many activities including organizing and filing their own first aid kits, being introduced to the art of various knot tying techniques, planting seeds in their own garden pots and decorating garden gloves, creating their own healthy snacks for the outdoors, being challenged to a scavenger hunt and discovering treasures in the Wildcat garden, as well as enjoying interactive games on the campus grounds. In addition, WBNG meteorologist Jason Doris visited the camp and answered many weather-related questions and conducted an experiment showing how heat rises in the atmosphere. Overall, it was a thrill to be outside together enjoying nature!
