On September 9, the Johnson City Board of Education proudly recognized Tara Terry, JC alumna and executive director of The Bridge Community Center, for her generous support of the district. Through The Bridge Community Center, hundreds of backpacks and school supplies were donated to benefit both students and teachers across the district.
The Bridge Community Center, located on the southside of Johnson City, offers after-school programs and is dedicated to building empowering relationships with residents, strengthening family stability, and fostering positive community change.
Meredith Whalen, Director of Student Support and Family Services for JC Schools, expressed deep appreciation for the ongoing partnership, stating that The Bridge has been a valued ally in supporting the district and the broader community.
