In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, students and staff at Johnson City Schools went pink on October 22 for 'Pink Out' day. The school's charity organization, Athletes to Athletes (A2A), recently sold more than 400 pink breast cancer awareness shirts for students and staff to wear.
A2A advisors, along with sophomore Delaney Gaughan, used the proceeds from the shirt sale to present a check in the amount of $2,638 to METAvivor, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing awareness of advanced breast cancer and equity in research and patient support.
