JC Community Engagement Officer visits 7th-grade class

The Johnson City Police Department's Community Engagement Officer, Jay Peets, visited Jane Halladay's 7th-grade Family & Consumer Science class today as part of Career Day. Officer Peets discussed why he became a police officer, the many skills he had to learn to become one, the various police ranks, and answered numerous student questions. The class also had the opportunity to try on a police vest.
