HS students place U.S. flags at Calvary Cemetery in honor of Memorial Day
On Monday afternoon, members of the high school track team assisted American Legion Post 758 and placed U.S. flags at the graves of veterans at Calvary Cemetery between Fairview Street and Harry L. Drive. Each year, approximately 4,000 flags are placed throughout the cemetery in preparation for Memorial Day. The collaboration with the American Legion has been a proud community service project for the district’s high school students since 2012.
