imageWe are looking forward with great excitement to welcoming students to the high school for the 2021-22 school year. This letter provides information and invites you to several opportunities as we prepare for our opening on Thursday, September 9.

9th Grade Orientation:
All students entering 9th grade along with their parents/guardians are invited to attend an orientation that will be held on Wednesday, September 1 in the high school auditorium. There will be two sessions offered from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Please use the SignUpGenius link (https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0F4FADAC2AA2F4CF8-9thgrade) to let us know which session you will be attending. The orientation will include an introduction to staff members, expectations for the high school, information on pathways to graduation, curriculum that is offered and a tour of the building.

Last School Year Full Remote Students Orientation:
10th, 11th and 12th grade students who were fully remote last school year are invited to attend a welcome back orientation along with their parents/guardians. The event is for students to have an opportunity to reacquaint themselves with the high school, information for in-person attendance and the opportunity to ask questions. Each orientation will start at 5 p.m. on the following date, time and location:

10th grade students: Monday, August 30 // 5-6 p.m. // High School Auditorium

11th grade students: Tuesday, August 31 // 5-6 p.m. // High School Auditorium

12th grade students: Thursday, September 2 // 5-6 p.m. //High School Auditorium

Chromebook Handouts:
All high school students will be issued a Chromebook for the upcoming 2021-22 school year. The expectation will be for students to bring the Chromebooks with them to school on a daily basis. Students who attend the 9th grade or above- mentioned remote student orientation will have the opportunity to be issued their Chromebooks during those events. Students who are not attending either orientation are encouraged to pick up their Chromebooks on the following date, time and location:

10th grade students: Monday, August 30 // 5-7 p.m. // High School Main Lobby

11th grade students: Tuesday, August 31 // 5-7 p.m. // High School Main Lobby

12th grade students: Thursday, September 2 // 5-7 p.m. //High School Main Lobby

In order to be issued a Chromebook, parents/guardians must sign an Equipment Loan & Policy Agreement document before any student may receive one. The Equipment Loan & Policy Agreement will be mailed to parents/guardians prior to the orientations so they may bring them for pickup. Parents/guardians do not need to be present for students to receive their Chromebook as long as they have the Equipment Loan & Policy Agreement signed.

If you still have a school-issued Chromebook from last year you may turn it in during the orientations or Chromebook pickups.

Any students who are unable to attend the orientations or Chromebook handouts will be issued their Chromebook on the first day of school as long as they have their device agreement signed and with them.

Health and Safety Guidelines:
All parents/guardians, students and staff (vaccinated and unvaccinated) will be required to wear masks while in
our buildings.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact the high school main office at (607) 930-1009.

Best regards,
