We are proud to announce 4th-grade students Makenna Parsons and Mia Rubin will be participating in the National Youth Leadership Forum: Pathways to Stem this summer. Their teacher, Mrs. Zakrajsek, nominated the girls for the forum because of their strong leadership skills, their love of learning and their ability to connect and work well with others. This is a fantastic opportunity for curious and high-aspiring young students to make new friends and enjoy unforgettable adventures, while exploring the frontiers of 21st century science and technology.
This national recognition program is for elementary school students interested in exploring future career possibilities within the exciting fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). NYLF Pathways to STEM is a springboard to investigating career pathways and learning to be a leader at school and in the community. Makenna and Mia will have the chance to explore and engage as future crime solvers and forensic detectives, budding engineers and as prospective medical interns!
