Members of JC Fire Dept. visit JC Elementary for National Fire Safety Awareness Month
In recognition of National Fire Safety Awareness Month, firefighters from Johnson City Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 921 are visiting our elementary school classes this month to teach students about fire safety and raise awareness about the dangers of playing with matches, the importance of staying low in smoke, and learning how to stop, drop, and roll. The students listened to our visitors read a fire safety-themed storybook, watched a puppet show and were awarded with their own plastic fire helmets!
