Our Johnson City 8th graders were among more than 2,000 area students to attend SUNY Broome Community College's annual SPARK event on January 21. The event allowed students to interact with SUNY Broome faculty, BOCES Career and Technical Education teachers, and area employers to learn about the careers in our region and the educational and training pathways needed for success. The students learned about computer technology, engineering, culinary studies, different trades, and so much more.
The event was made possible by partnerships with The Greater Binghamton Education Outreach Program (GBEOP), Broome-Tioga BOCES, Broome-Tioga Workforce, and The Agency.
