Fourth-graders in Kristin Lombardini, Michele Zakrajsek and Mary Ellen Gilroy’s English as a New Language (ENL) classes recently created “cultural silhouettes” that featured outlines of each student’s head along with information about their own culture, highlighting favorite foods, celebrations, traditions, their country’s flag, and more. The silhouettes were on display at our recent Culture Night event, and today, the classes gathered for group photos with their projects. The endeavor was a great way for each student to learn about each other and share information about themselves.
