Our entire 6th-grade hallway is impressively decorated this month with pictures and facts about many influential Black figures in honor of Black History Month, including Jesse Jackson, Barack Obama, Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, and Jesse Owens, among many others.
In addition, Miss Spencer's art room at the elementary school is spotlighting influential Black artists. Students at each grade level have been learning about the artists and creating artwork inspired by their body of work.
