
On December 16, the JC Board of Education recognized Johnson City Police Chief Brent Dodge for his long-standing partnership with the district. Superintendent Race and Board President Matyas expressed gratitude for more than a decade of collaboration, highlighting programs such as the School Resource Officer initiative. They thanked Chief Dodge for his commitment to safety, support, and risk mitigation for students, staff, and the community. Chief Dodge shared that, coming from a family of educators, he is deeply passionate about education and believes in making a difference, starting from early childhood.
