On Tuesday evening, Superintendent Race and the Board of Education recognized several Section-winning, record-breaking and/or State Championship-bound high school athletes.

Record Holder
Michael Akulis is now the Pole Vault Record Holder with a jump of 14'0". He previously cleared 13'7" earlier this season, breaking the 13'6" mark of Tom Klym from 1981.

Makenzie Lombardini:
Girls Lacrosse_From 2022–2026, she accumulated an impressive 269 goals and 85 assists, for a total of 354 points. In doing so, she surpassed the program’s previous career records in every major offensive category. The former goals and total points records were held by Rebecca Zajac, who recorded 228 goals and 263 points from 2005–2009, while the career assist record of 65 assists was set by Sam Majewski from 2014–2018. Makenzie now stands as the program’s all-time leader in goals (267), assists (85), and total points (352). Recently, USA Lacrosse recognized Makenzie as an All-American.
