Every Friday during Andi Micha's high school study hall, a group of dedicated students engages in meaningful social-emotional learning experiences that go beyond traditional academics. Through guided lessons, they build essential coping skills, set personal goals, and participate in open discussions about their emotions and daily school experiences. These conversations create a supportive environment where students feel heard, understood, and connected.
In this photo, students proudly display their latest project, an activity focused on peer support. Each student took the time to write something kind about every member of the group. The impact was powerful: by the end of the exercise, the room was filled with smiles, and even some happy tears. The group's consensus was unanimous. The activity boosted their confidence and left them surprised to learn that the people sitting next to them in study hall actually cared about them in ways they never knew.
