During the week of April 20, members of our high school’s eSports team competed in virtual matches against students from across New York State in “Super Smash Bros.” and “Marvel Rivals” in a quarter-final bid to reach the State Championship in Syracuse on May 2. Despite coming up short, the students played hard and had the opportunity to play against the top-ranked team in the nation.
We congratulate eSports member Mahadev Gadde for achieving great success playing online Chess. He finished the Spring season with an 8-2 record, placing 9th out of over 300 participants in the Eastern region. He has been invited to the National Chess Playoffs and looks forward to competing against other top players from around the country for the title of High School Chess Champion.
We commend the students on a great season, and wish Mahadev the best of luck!
