Cornell Cooperative Extension-Broome County's Ag in the Classroom returned to the JC Elementary School today with a very special guest. Broome County Executive Jason Garnar visited one of the 1st-grade classes to read the storybook "Seasons On The Farm." The story ties into the New York Farm Bureau's Agriculture Literacy Week, taking place from March 16-20.
Following the reading, Kyleigh Livingston from Ag in the Classroom showed the students how to plant grass seeds in a cup of dirt and add water.
