JCHS Science Dept. hosts annual science fair

On Thursday evening, the high school science department hosted its annual science fair in the large cafeteria. The students went above and beyond to showcase their hard work. The projects highlighted the effects of design on paper airplane flight distance, how caffeine consumption affects a person's heart rate, the effectiveness of hydropower, the effects of different salts on ice melting, and much more. The overall winning project focused on the effects of various light conditions on Daphnia magna heart rate.
