On December 12, JC Middle School hosted a career fair for 8th-graders, giving students the opportunity to speak with representatives from various job fields. More than 20 exhibitors were present, including an athletic director from Binghamton University and representatives from dentistry, engineering, firefighting, law enforcement, catering, lifeguarding, animal shelters, the military, and more.
The event, under the guidance of Food and Consumer Science teacher Jane Halladay, was organized by 8th-grade students in the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) program and served as part of the district’s use of ‘Pathful,’ a school counseling, college, and career platform designed to support students in their academic and career journeys through career exploration and more.
