Kyleigh Livingston from Cornell Cooperative Extension-Broome County's 'Ag in the Classroom' program returned to the elementary school today to teach the kindergarten classes about pumpkins. She read "The Pie That Molly Grew," a story that follows the growth of a pumpkin from seed to harvest. The students then had the fun hands-on opportunity to help make instant pumpkin pie by combining canned pumpkin, crushed graham crackers, lactose-free milk, and vanilla pudding in a Ziploc.
