JC High School students in the Liberty Partnership program participated in the 2022 Virtual Empire Promise Youth Summit this week. The event focused on inspiring students to "Embrace Change" in a post-pandemic world. With a unique array of guest speakers and workshops, participants learned about the importance of self-care through mindfulness, healthy eating and responding to conflict. The keynote speaker was Eric Thomas, PhD, a critically acclaimed author, speaker, educator and pastor. Also known as "ET, The Hip Hop Preacher," Thomas shares his creative, common-sense approach to living a successful, satisfying professional and personal life.
