The Johnson City Middle School's Reality Check Group had an information table set up during lunches on April 1 for Take Down Tobacco Day, a national day of action used to raise awareness about manipulative tactics used by the tobacco industry to promote their products. The group educated their peers about ingredients that are in vapes as well as strategies used by the industry to hook a new generation on their deadly products. The group also collected signatures on a banner to gather support in taking down big tobacco companies.
