JC Elementary celebrates Dr. Seuss

March 2 marks the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss. To celebrate the occasion, the National Education Association has designated March 2 as Read Across America Day. Since its inception in 1998, the occasion strives to help kids get excited about reading.
At Johnson City Elementary School, Dr. Seuss was celebrated all week. Classes read his books, dressed as characters from the stories and even made green eggs and ham!
