Mission: The Johnson City School District PTO is a nonprofit Parent/Teacher organization whose membership includes all parents, legal guardians, and staff of The Johnson City School. The mission of the PTO is to unite and build positive relationships with the parents, staff, teachers, and community with the common goal to enrich the lives and education of the children of The Johnson City School District. It is our belief that through the positive, united team efforts of this organization that any sponsored events, or activities and any goods or services provided or purchased will be made in the best interest of the school and the students.


On behalf of the new PTO board we would like to welcome you to the 2016-17 school year!! With your help, we are hoping to create great experiences and memories for all of our children! With a student population of approximately 1600 students K-8, we are confident there are many of you willing to help, but may be nervous to get too involved.

We also know how busy all of us are and don’t have time to do everything. Hopefully the attached form will give you a chance to help with whatever you are comfortable with.  Feel free to email us at JohnsonCityPTO@gmail.com with any questions or concerns.

The page we have attached includes activities and events that are run by the PTO.  Please check anything you’d be able to help with and return this to your child’s teacher! Thank you so much for your involvement, every little bit helps!

We would love to see you at a meeting and are going to do our best to keep meetings short and to the point so we don’t take up too much of your time or energy.  This way we can all feel good about giving our students opportunities to see new places, read new things, and have FUN!  Remember many hands make light work.
