The Marching Wildcats placed 1st in the 51st Annual 2009 Columbus Day Tournament of Bands
The Marching Wildcats
also placed 1st in the Drum Major and 2nd in Color Guard Competitions
in the 51st Annual 2009 Columbus
Day Tournament of Bands
| The marching band participates every year at the following parade events: The New York State Fair Parade Competition, The Columbus Day Tournament of Bands Parade, the Johnson City Holiday and Memorial Day Parades. The marching band has won the Columbus Day Tournament Of Bands Parade a total of 22 years, and the New York State Fair Parade Competition a total of 8 years. |

In
November of 2001, 2005, and recently again in 2008 the Johnson City Marching Band performed for
millions of people live
at the Toronto Santa Claus Parade. The Wildcat
Marching Band also appeared at the
Preakness Parade in Baltimore, Maryland in
May of 2005. In 2007, the Marching
Wildcats performed for thousands of people in the Niagara Falls Santa Claus
parade. |

The 2009, 51st Annual Columbus Day Tournament of Bands featured 10 bands from New York State and Northern Pennsylvania. Thousands of people lined the streets of a chilly Binghamton morning to watch the marching bands march down Main Street. The Wildcat Marching Band placed 1st in the Large School Division with a score of 99.0 that matched their all-time best score for this parade. The Wildcats bested their hometown rivals, the Union Endicott Tigers and the Vestal Golden Bears Marching Bands. The Wildcats also placed 1st in the Drum Major competition and 2nd place in the Color Guard competition in the Large School Division. The Wildcats were the defending champions (2008) and now have won the Columbus Day Tournament Of Bands Parade for a total of 22 years.
