The Marching
Wildcats participated in the 2008 Baldwinsville Fantasy of Sound Marching Band Competition
on September 20th. This was
the Marching Wildcats first competition of the 2008 season. If the Rookies were
nervous, they surely didn't show it even though this was their very first
marching competition ever! The Vets couldn't wait to bring it on again after
winning the NYS Field Band Championship last year. |

The Marching
Wildcats continued on their quest of winning another NYSFBC Championship by
achieving one of their highest ever scores in competition with a 81.05 and
placed first in the Small School 3 Division, besting out their closest rival by
6.30 points. More than one third of all the NYS Schools competing in the Small
School 3 Division participated in this competition. Great job Wildcats! |

Congratulations to the members of the Wildcat Marching Band on their stellar performance this past Sunday at the Carrier Dome. The marching Wildcats achieved their highest score ever in New York State Field Band Championship Competition and took second place in this year’s event. Our Wildcat Marching band members performed at the highest level of our expectations. I must say that even more important than the demonstration of performance skills and teamwork, our kids exemplify pride, honor, sportsmanship and elegance in the disappointment of not achieving their ultimate performance goal. This is due to the great program, regimen, goals, expectations, and experiences that Mr. Mark Buza and his Marching Band staff have provided for our Marching Band members all season. Fourteen bands in the Small School Division 3 class competed this year at the NYSFBC Championships. Sunday’s performance was an awesome accomplishment. Mr. Buza, his staff, the band parents and the Marching Band have made us extremely proud. --Respectfully submitted by Mr. Michael Carbone, Coordinator of JC Music
