Johnson City Information Services is dedicated to providing our school district with fast, easy, reliable access to information technology that will bring knowledge, data, new technical applications, and research capabilities to the classroom and the office in support of the educational needs of our students and the administration of district affairs.

In support of this, we have established a wide area network (WAN) comprised of a combination of a 1gb fiber optic backbone at the High School, an 8gb connection to the new Elementary-Middle School using multi-link trunking, a VPN over RoadRunner to the Alternative School and a 1gb fiber optic connection to the Transportation Complex. These WAN links along with the 100mb & 1gb connections to the desktop are what  provides network and Internet access and allows centralized software applications to be used throughout the district.
